Overview

Education

EMWD seeks to foster an understanding of important water, wastewater and recycled water issues among the future leaders of the community it serves, while promoting wise water use. Therefore, EMWD supports an extensive education program designed to provide a useful academic experience at all grade levels (K-12).

If your school is located within EMWD’s service area and you would like to teach your students about water, wastewater and recycled water EMWD has lesson plans, curriculum packets, student materials and much more!

For more information contact EMWD’s Education team at 951-928-3777, ext. 4350.

Bird Walks

Bird Walks are led by experienced Audubon Society Members Antonio Corona, and Joyce Schwartz

Join EMWD for a Bird Walk and share the opportunity to view ibises, egrets, blackbirds and many other migratory and resident birds in their natural habitat at the EMWD Wetlands.

Located on the grounds of the San Jacinto Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility, the multi-purpose constructed wetlands “polishes” recycled water before it is distributed to nearby farms, dairies, and the San Jacinto Wildlife Area for irrigation and additional environmental uses.
