Perris, CA (January 9, 2020) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) this week debuted its new ‘My Account’ customer portal, which will provide an expanded array of online tools to help customers monitor water use and conduct business with EMWD.

The new portal – www.emwd.org/MyAccount – is the first phase of a long-term commitment to provide enhanced features on EMWD’s bill pay website.

‘My Account’ will incorporate all of the best functions of EMWD’s existing eBill system and include new features such as streamlined bill pay options and the ability to access hourly, daily and monthly water use data. Customers can also track water usage events specific to their properties, such as filling a swimming pool or installing water efficient appliances.

The ability to monitor usage was made possible thanks to the District-wide smart meter replacement program, which was completed in mid-2019.

In 2021, EMWD will debut the second phase of new features, including the ability to track water use against forecasted water budgets, setting up specific water budget notifications, starting and stopping service online, and updating communication preferences through the portal.

“Many of the features available on the ‘My Account’ portal were requested by our customers, and we are excited to debut these new features,” EMWD President Ron Sullivan said. “By expanding the services available on our website, EMWD will help customers better understand their water use and also conduct business with EMWD in ways that are most convenient for them.”
