In each of the past two years, EMWD and CivicSpark have teamed together to host two recent college graduates for 11-month fellowships. CivicSpark is a Governor’s Initiative AmeriCorps program that is dedicated toward community resilience issues such as climate change, water resource management and access to opportunities.

CivicSpark Fellows have been involved in a wide range of programs during their tenure at EMWD, including development of a community Water Leaders Academy, assisting with regional sustainability programs, and supporting EMWD’s Conservation Department.

CivicSpark offers fellowship opportunities throughout California, including EMWD. It is one of a variety of programs that EMWD participates in to promote workforce development among young adults. Previous CivicSpark fellowship opportunities have led to full-time employment at EMWD.

Applications are accepted beginning April 2, 2018. For more information, please visit http://civicspark.lgc.org.
