Press Release

Perris, CA (June 19, 2023) — Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) has released its annual 2022 Consumer Confidence Report, which provides customers with science-based information about EMWD’s water quality and sources.

The report provides information about the 2022 calendar year. Public water agencies are required to publish the report by July 1 each year.

EMWD once again met and surpassed all federal and state drinking water standards that are established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and State Water Resources Control Board.

In 2022, EMWD collected 10,334 samples from 34 different drinking water sources to test for 209 contaminants and impurities. A total of 47,216 tests were performed at state-certified laboratory, including EMWD’s on-site labratory.

“We are proud to maintain our commitment to deliver safe and reliable drinking water to nearly 1 million customers throughout our service area,” EMWD Board President Phil Paule said. “This data-driven report will provide our customers with information about their water quality so that they are confident that the water they rely on each day is safe.

“We hope that customers will take the time to learn about their water quality that is detailed in our annual report.”

The report is published electronically and is available online at www.emwd.org/ccr. Customers will receive a postcard informing them about the report. Those who wish to receive a printed copy may request one by contacting EMWD at 951-928-3777, ext. 3430.
